"The Bachelorette" Season 16, with Clare Crawley

Clare Crawley is our new bachelorette, for what is sure to be “the most dramatic season ever!”

Why, you ask??

We’ve been reading the spoilers since Clare’s season started filming before quarantine. We watched as something was said to have gone down, and all of a sudden Tayshia Adams was rumored to be taking over.

I personally go off and on with The Bachelorette, seasons I can not miss a second, and then others I don’t even bother with. This season I have been looking forward to since day 1.

I was personally a fan of Clare’s from the previous times she had been on other seasons in The Bachelor franchise. I also liked that she was older (39- I hate saying “older” - she’s still younger than me;) -but I hoped she would be bringing an older, more mature perspective to the show.

Clare recently opened up about how she “blew up” The Bachelorette. She was on the podcast ‘Bachelor Happy Hour,’ hosted by former Bachelorette leads, Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin.

Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass

Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass are still one of our TV couples. We loved watching them together as their personalities complemented each other perfectly. We all knew they were end game, they were made for each other!

“If two people are destined to be together, they will eventually find a way back. ”

“Don’t let anyone tell you that you are not strong. You are the strongest woman I know. ”
— Chuck
IMG_8146.jpeg

We lived for their romance and followed them every step along the way. We suffered together with them every time they broke up and we celebrated when they got back together. Their romance was not perfect by any means, but they did teach us that with patience and love, anything can be possible.

“Three words. Eight letters. Say it and I’m yours. ”
— Blair

There are irresistible phrases.

Try to make amends for the damage done.

“I’m sorry for all the damage I did to you, I know I can’t go back in time, but I want to try and make it up to you. Even if it takes my whole life. ”
— Chuck

What We Know About the ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot

HBO Max's Gossip Girl reboot has been delayed until 2021, with no exact start date known as of yet. HBO Max's cheif content officer Kevin Reilly confirmed to Vulture today that the new Gossip Girl has not started shooting yet, and won't be ready for any release date in 2020 due to the pandemic
So far we know the ‘Gossip Girl’ reboot has been delayed, but as we patiently wait, we’re here to give you all of the info we know so far!

The reboot will consist of 10 episodes that will tell, 8 years after the last episode, the intertwining of a new generation of Manhattan teen posh (no names have yet been made on the performers), also Upper East Side, whose scandalous news will be reported on the Gossip Girl site, but this time there is no person behind it, but anyone with a cell phone. The authors want to update Gossip Girl and show how the world has changed since the last episode, especially by dealing with privacy and Social Network issues. The spectacular cast of past series have declared themselves in favor of a reunion and the inclusion of cameos, except for Ed Westwick, the seductive and intricate Chuck Bass, who opposes the appearance because of the idea that his character has given everything he could give. .

Chuck and Blair… Best Dressed Couple - Ever. XOXO -Gossip Girl

I know, I know… I’m pretty late to the game. Over 10 years late, so late I’m getting ready for the reboot.
-but along with getting excited for the reboot- I’m also enjoying obsessing about the OG cast.

obsessed. LOVE them. Blair & Chuck.

obsessed. LOVE them. Blair & Chuck.

I loved (past tense); Leighton Meester on Single Parents (#SAVESINGLEPARENTS) - but watching the comparison of Angie vs Blair, I am now just obsessed with her. The two characters couldn’t be more different, and both are SO great. Angie has one pair of yoga pants while Blair is endless fashion goals. I guess you could make the same compassion for Will and Chuck.

Your Next Vintage Binge: Gossip Girl

All six seasons of the CW’s “Gossip Girl” is available to stream on both Netflix and Hulu.

Gossip Girl was the teen drama television series that originally ran on The CW for six seasons from September 25, 2007 to December 17, 2012. The TV series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and based on the Gossip Girl book series, written by Cecily Von Ziegesar.

Netflix / The CW

Netflix / The CW

“Gossip Girl” follows the lives of privileged teenagers on the Upper East Side in New York City. Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) is the main character, who is featured on the blog curated by the mysterious narrator “Gossip Girl.” The variety of teen personalities sets this series apart from some of the other teen TV dramas.

Serena (Blake Lively) is the most popular girl at school, getting everything she wants because of her good looks, energy and charm. Her best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is an overachiever who is both snobby and sensitive.

The CW

The CW

Blair dwells in the shadow of her best friend and has the tendency to seem insecure. The character of Blair is my favorite though, because as the audience gets to know her, Blair starts to really show her caring, soft side and she really is a good girl by heart.

Netflix / The CW

Netflix / The CW

Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) is one of the central male characters in “Gossip Girl,” who is described as attractive, sensitive and a lover of poetry. Dan is often called the lonely boy because he rarely has friends and nobody seems to truly know who he is, and he basically moves around under the radar.

Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) seems to have the perfect “Golden Boy” life among his well-off classmates. He is best friends with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), yet another snobbish rich boy, and has been dating Blair since kindergarten. Throughout the series, it becomes evident that Nate has feelings for Serena, which irrevocably complicates his relationship with Blair.

In juxtaposition, Nate actually does not have an “easy life” at all because his parents are constantly pressuring him to lead a certain path. Nate does not want to pursue the same aspirations that his parents have created for him, so he fights for his own dreams.

Netflix / The CW

Netflix / The CW

Each episode throughout the series sucks you into a world so far from reality yet so relevant to everyone’s typical teenage angst.

The success of “Gossip Girl” led to many adaptations outside of the US. The show has received numerous award nominations and won 18 Teen Choice Awards.

“XOXO, Gossip Girl.”

The Development of Justin Foley

I never would have thought after the first episode of 13 Reasons Why- actually after probably 80% of the first season- that Justin Foley would be my absolute my favorite character {& Brandon Flynn one of my favorite actors of all time} -and that I would end up crying more over him than any other character on TV or film. Ever.
