Bradley Cooper Opens Up To Oprah

Director Bradley Cooper (ahh- still love the sound of that!) tells Oprah he is trying to be present amid the 2019 Oscar nominations for “A Star Is Born.”

Bradley sat down with Oprah during her SuperSoul Conversations from Times Square in New York City.

Bradley opened up about how he felt after being snubbed in the Best Director category of the Academy Awards on Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations from Times Square on Tuesday in New York City, saying the moment was hard to move past.

“I was not surprised, I’m never surprised about not getting nominated,” he told Oprah. “I was with my friend in New York City at coffee shop and I look down at my phone, and Nicole (Nicole Caruso, his friend & publicist) had texted me and they said congratulations on these other things, but they didn’t tell me the bad news. And I went, ‘Oh wow.’ And the first thing I felt was embarrassment.”

“I felt embarrassed that I didn’t do my part,” Bradley added. “Like, ‘Oh gosh, I didn’t do my job.’ But the truth is, even if I got the nomination, that should not give me any sense of whether I did my job or not. That’s the trick. The trick is to make something you believe in and you work hard.”
