(I’ve been loving every episode, and watching them repeatedly!) I am also reading the book along with watching, and there seems to be a definite line in the sand between people who have read the book vs people who have not. I am really looking to see if there is anyone who is enjoying the series who has read the book first. It’s so interesting to read the differences. I can see from all the comments I receive and read- why people are frustrated. I too, was curious about Kerry Washington’s facial expressions and they just didn’t sit right with me. I didn’t understand until later that Mia was much more likable and warm in the book. Also, with this episode- it’s seems as if Pauline & Mia’s relationship was more motherly and not romantic at all. I’m always curious why the writers/producers made these choices... and especially with this series, some of the choices are strong decisions for the characters backgrounds. . .
